See Yael Naim at the Wisconsin Union Theatre! You’ve heard her voice a million times on the Macbook Air Ad; she’s the one with the enchanting voice singing her song, New Soul. Now see her at the Wisconsin Union Theatre on Saturday, October 25 at 8 pm.
According to lore, it was Steve Jobs himself who chose "New Soul" from her second album, thus handing the French-Israeli singer songwriter an instant, international audience. Blessed with an unsettlingly pure voice and an incredible agility at composition, Naim sings in Hebrew, English and French, presenting a collection of ballads that meander through folk, pop, and world music with a melancholic frugality. Trained as a classical musician, Naim has written music for films and has toured through much of the world.
